We live in a world where time changes constantly, a time where it seems the devil strategizes before we do; when it should be the other way around.

“use every piece of Gods armor to resist the enemy whenever it attacks and when it is all over, you will still be standing up” (Ephesians 6:13)

That means we have to be in a constant state of readiness to pull down every plan; but in this changing times, the enemy seems to be doing a lot of pulling downs because we went into battle unfortified.

Most of us are still waiting to see apparition of a beast with horns before we can agree that devil is already at work of destroying Christian values and teachings.

Pursuits of fame, popularity and wealth seem to be the order of the day when having Gods kingdom at heart, living as light and living as Gods message should be paramount.

Now, the strategy the devil uses comes in various forms that please the flesh yet defiles the spirit, but, we can only conquer the flesh by fortifying the spirit.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not canal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).

The world is a battle field where only winners make heaven; if the devil devours you, you lose but if you conquer, you win.

Now what weapons do we need to win this battle;

“We need a strong belt of TRUTH and breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS. And your shoes, in readiness TO ANNOUNCE the good news of peace. At all times, carry FAITH as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all burning arrows shot by the evil one. And accept SALVATION as a helmet, and the WORD OF GOD as the sword which the spirit gives. For this reason, keep alert and never give up; PRAY ALWAYS for all Gods people” (Ephesians 6:14-18)

Jesus came with truth and grace and made them both available to us all. His word said, you shall know the TRUTH (Jesus, the word of God) and it shall set you free. That is the first step. Believe Jesus and his words and obey and you shall be free.

Walk in total obedience of this truth. RIGHTEOUSNESS is attained through obedience of God’s commandments and through faith in atonement made possible through death and resurrection of Jesus. By his dying for us, He took upon himself our sins and poured his righteousness into us.

We can spread the good news of Christ in various ways; by been the message yourself by living right, condemn what is wrong by teaching the truth to others, and working earnestly in our fold of ministry.

You see, Jesus is the truth, our means of salvation, the word of God and gate to God through prayer. We all claim we know and trust him but it is not all who scream Abba father and call themselves Christian that are really of God. If you love Him, you will do his will.

A lot of us know the word of truth vividly but our lifestyles says otherwise, in the quest to keep up with flow of world’s breeze.

Daily we derail, we spit on the cross, we disregard the perfect work done by Christ, we disobey his commands etc.

How we may ask?

Let us Search deep our hearts:

How many movies do we(I inclusive) watch where the act of homosexuality which is against Gods words are practiced (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) and we watch in amusement and subconsciously, we see nothing wrong with them… changing times!

We now enjoy music where foul and immoral things which do not edify the hearers are said and we sing along and are amused and overjoyed by them (Ephesians 5:4)… changing times!

Fornication is now a norm in our relationships.

Greed now makes us rob each other.

Envy and endless means of out doing each other in property acquisition seems like nothing nowadays; unhealthy competitions here and there.

People in the name of modeling and looking sexy on social media for admiration are now pornographic tools…. Changing times!

Note that there is perfect beauty in modesty and decency. Always look amazing and dress beautifully but do all this in modesty.

The truth remains that I cannot exhaust all the wrongs of changing times but the word of God made it clear that the ability of our consciences to distinguish between wrong and rights have been deposited in everyone and that He will punish sin wherever it is found.

“He will punish sin wherever it is found; He will punish the heathen when they sin, even though they never heard Gods written laws, for down in their hearts they know right from wrong. God’s laws are within them; their own consciences, accuse them or sometimes excuses them” (Romans 2:12-15)

“Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse this sin, for the terrible wrath of God is upon all those who do them” (Ephesians5:6)

Don’t try to justify those wrong things you do, just identify them and ask God’s grace to fall back on his path and live right.

Decide today to return the past glory and sanity of our Christian values by changing first.

Remember that you cannot do it by your own strength; seek Gods help, counsel from our spiritual leaders and prayers too.

Decide today to join the prayer team who pray for restoration of our Christian values. Pray for your neighbor, pray for yourself, pray for sinners and pray for the world.

Seek to righteousness first and see greatness manifest!

Above all, always focus on where you want your soul to end up. May God forbid that we teach others the way, and miss heaven ourselves. Amen.

God bless us all!

Show love, share and spread the word!
